I will return!
I enjoyed my stay at The resort. The food was awesome. The location is beautiful. It is best to travel by day. The massage was dreamy, one of the best that I have had in a long time.
The service was great. I LOVE Jodi from the front desk. She went above and beyond to help us, and to make us feel at home.
I also enjoyed watching the Hotel Staff work endlessly for all the conventions, weddings, line dancing, and bike races. Also, all the different religious denominations, & seeing their heritage & their beliefs. Definitely made lots of memories. I would love to come back with my family.
We and 2 other couples were just here to spend the night on a little getaway. Our room was a big 2 room suite with a huge whirpool tub off the bedroom. There were 2 flatscreen tv's and a bar in the living area.
The room served well as it gave our party of 6 a chance to spend time together during the evening for drinks and chat. 4 of us did dine here and the food was good. The bar area was nice with good service by the bartender. Both drinks and food pricing was better than I thought it might be.
We reserved a room for our niece and her husband over the Labor Day weekend and they were totally pleased. They reported that the service, sleep quality, cleanliness, location, and rooms were excellent. We also thought the value was excellent.
We attended the North American Jewish Choral Festival in July 2012, and had a very pleasant stay. Even though we were in an "economy" room, the room was neat and clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly. We also thought that the food was very good and satisfying, and there was enough variety to please everyone.
Hudson valley resort, is one of the best Hotel and resorts that I have ever been. The staff are very professional and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and clean. The lobby is glamorous and the food is excellent. Thank you Hudson Valley Resort. Alan K. NY
it has been twenty years since my last visit and other than a name change, not much has changed! Now, as well as then, I came with a group and that is where the good time is! The hotel is huge, grounds are huge.....and for a group you can have alot of fun.
We recently hosted a party at the HVR. The staff was absolutely fabulous, helpful friendly. We understood going in that they are still sprucing up the place, and we're pleased with the progress in restoring this wonderful place to it's former glory. We were so happy we booked more parties with them and can't wait to go back. The value and service far surpassed our expectations.
We have come to the Hudson Valley 3 times and always have a really good time. We come with a group and enjoy the meals. The spa is very nice but I did not have a massage, but did use the sauna and it was very relaxing. The view is to die for. We love the lobby with the piano and the bar, it's so comfortable and friendly. We will be back again next year!
We have stayed here several times with a religious conference and always have a good time. The rooms have been comfortable and clean, and the service is always excellent. We've attended functions in the conference rooms which seem well suited to our needs. The lobby is huge and spacious, and the breakfast dining room has a great view of the mountains. The best thing is that the resort has a separate Kosher kitchen, we bring our own caterer and the food is always excellent. My only complaint is that the arcade room was locked half of the time we were there last time, but they quickly opened it when asked.
The venue was great .......the food was fantastic........I would go back again and again.......the conference center was very clean and relatively easy to find with plenty of parking.....the employees at the conference center were wonderful too. Always very pleasant......
My family came for the 2nd year to the Hudson Valley Resort for New Years and had a great time. I have stayed at some of the most expensive resorts and hotels in the world. The staff really cares that you are happy and having a good time. They are as good as any in the business. Our New Years Eve dinner was exceptional having the Salmon and also the Sirloin Steak. We used the spa and went from the pool to the sauna to the jacuzzi. It was a great way to get ready for New Years Eve.
I found it interesting that this was the former Granite Hotel. My family and I spent 5 days here for a KlezKamp program. The hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable, clean and roomy. The hotel is old and has personality. The dining staff was very nice and efficient. Also, the location is very beautiful. We look forward to returning next year!
I have stayed at this resort 2 times over the past couple of years with my family, the first time with a golf outing and the 2nd time with my family. There's been events taking place both times, once a jewish kosher group event and the other time a folk music performance. I guess the conference center here does alot of group banquets and religious conferences but it's never interfered with our good time.
The hotel is in a great locataion with Minnewaska hiking trails close by and some really beautiful scenery. We've been treated like royalty both times we stayed and thought there was a good variety of amenities.
The one drawback is that theres no full time restaurant. They do group catering for conferences and the time I was there for the golf outing we had a BBQ which was nice, but no restaurant in the off-season- just group banquets. The food has been really good both times though.
We went there for a special they were running, free snow tubing on presidents day weekend. We had a great time! Food was hit-or-miss, bc the restuant wasn't open the whole time we were there but when it was the food ws good.
But the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were great! We had a great time snow tubing (there was a lot of snow, like two or more feet). and it was nice to be so close to Minnewaska Park.
The views at this place a really pretty, we had a room looking over the mountains and was pretty in the wintertime.
I will say that the hotel has "seen better days" but in a charming historic kind of way, like stepping back in time a bit.
But like I said, everything was really clean and comfy and I will definately be back!
